Creative Facilitation
Structuring and leading workshops, classes & eventsIn the age of digital tools that make work more “efficient”—constant multi-tasking, circular messaging, endless Zoom calls, maintaining a somewhat coherent LinkedIn persona—spending all day in a meeting almost seems absurd. But a creative workshop has impact precisely because it requires deep commitment and single-minded focus.
Planning a workshop requires both “sides” of the brain—the structured mind for setting the goals, building an agenda, and managing the participants and the creative mind for engaging & inspiring, maintaining an exploratory mindset, and improvising “in-the-moment.” The right balance of creativity and structure enables participants to boundlessly explore while staying practically grounded.

Bringing people into the same room to have a conversation, share ideas and make decisions to move forward should be much more than just another meeting. It should offer an opportunity to share knowledge, build on collective creativity, generate real progress, and offer the opportunity to truly connect over ideas.

As a creative facilitator, I put a lot of emphasis on visual thinking—using lo-fi tools like paper, markers and tape to make ideas tangible. Shaping abstract thoughts into physical artifacts pulls ideas out of people’s minds, where they can be expressed more clearly and built upon by others.

My experience with planning & facilitating creative workshops stretches over two decades. In that time I have been involved in running sessions from new product brainstorms to strategic visioning and beyond. My graphic facilitation has also helped support work sessions by mapping conversations and capturing insights in real time. In addition to teaching at the university level, I have also run training workshops at conferences and for corporate teams.
Workshops are largely confidential—let’s connect to discuss capabilities in more detail. ︎
