Entrepreneurial Design class at UIC

Curriculum development and 3 years of instruction of the “Entrepreneurial Product Design” course for senior industrial design students at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Each year "Entrepreneurial Product Development" runs for 2 semesters, and has an average of 15 students.

The keystone project has students conceive a of a product design, find and work with a local manufacturing capability to develop it for production, create a financial model, build a Kickstarter campaign, run and promote the campaign, and then manufacture & distribute the product. Almost 100% of the projects were funded, and well over 90% delivered what was promised.

In addition we had a guest designer every single week—which featured direct insights from many of today's top design-entrepreneurs from around the US.
